Advocate Maitreyi S. Hegde, is a passionate lawyer with a thriving practice at the Supreme Court of India and High Court of Kerala since 2015.
Ms. Hegde is the Founder and Senior Partner of NyaayanishthaLegal Associates. She is also the creative mind behind Nyayanishta, the first Kannada online law magazine. Ms. Hegde is involved in several important cases, including the one that struck down Section 497 of the IPC, which punished adultery. She is a multilingual professional, proficient in English, Kannada, Sanskrit, and Hindi, and holds elementary proficiency in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Ms. Hegde is an extensive writer in Kannada and has published write-ups in several newspapers and magazines. She believes in the sharing of knowledge and has been a speaker at several conferences, workshops, and legal awareness media interviews.
Ms. Hegde had earlier worked at Vakilsearch.com, a start-up rendering online legal services. Later, she joined as an Associate at Kaleeswaram Raj and Associates, a prestigious law firm in Kerala. She served there for a period of six years, enhancing her skills in Service law, Constitutional law, Civil and Criminal law before she found NLA. Currently, apart from these, she is also practicing in the areas of public health law, consulting services to companies, and related legal services.
Anjali Anil A,(She/Her), is a dedicated and passionate lawyer practicing before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and High Court of Kerala. She is a Partner at NyaayanishthaLegal. She started her career under the guidance of Adv Kaleeswaram Raj.
Coupled with professionalism and adept organisational skills, Anjali, with her unwavering sense of justice and ethics, has been able to handle matters involving complicated questions of Constitutional law in her young career. She is resourceful and often a favourite amongst her legal compatriots when it comes to judging moot court competitions and providing career guidance to young students at various law colleges across Kerala.
She was also the former Joint Secretary of Aegis Charitable Society, a non – profitable organisation, which endeavours on bringing progressive changes in the vulnerable sections of Society through education, empowerment and health services.
She is also the recipient of the prestigious ‘Kumari Anna Soyus Memorial Endowment – 2023′ awarded by the Kerala High Court Advocates’ Association.
